IRS Identity Protection PIN

Problem: How Can I Protect My Identity From Fraudulent Tax Return Filings?

Solution: Get an IRS Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) Today!

What is an IRS Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN)

An IRS Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is a unique six-digit number issued by the IRS to help prevent identity thieves from filing a fraudulent federal tax return using your Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Once an IP PIN is assigned, it is generally required when filing your federal tax return for that tax year, adding an extra layer of protection against tax-related identity theft. The IRS issues a new IP PIN each calendar year.
